The Cook County Historical Society has grown and, through newsletters and museum holdings, continues to preserve the local history of our area and beyond. Membership is encourage and is only $35 a year. Monthly meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday usually at the Museum. There is a convenient entrance from the rear of building on the ramp.

This beautiful old church was in use by the Adel Primitive Baptists from 1913-1983 until they donated the building to the Cook County Historical Society, which raised money to repair and renovate this early 1900s structure.
