💧 Important Water Conservation Notice for City of Adel Residents 💧
The Georgia Environmental Protection Division has issued a Statewide Level 1 Drought Response Declaration due to ongoing drought conditions across Georgia. As part of this response, the City of Adel is asking all citizens and businesses to help conserve water and be mindful stewards of this valuable resource.
How You Can Help:
✔️ Check for and repair leaks inside and outside your home
✔️ Turn off faucets while brushing teeth, shaving, or washing dishes
✔️ Only water lawns and landscaping when necessary
✔️ Adjust sprinklers so they water grass—not sidewalks, streets, or buildings
Outdoor Watering Guidelines:
General landscape watering is permitted between 4:00 PM and 10:00 AM daily
The following may be done at any time:
🌱 Personal food gardens
🌱 New plants, seed, or turf for 30 days after installation
🌱 Drip irrigation or soaker hoses
🌱 Hand watering with a hose equipped with automatic shutoff or a handheld container
We encourage everyone to do their part to help protect our community’s water supply during these dry conditions.
